Maersk applies USD 800 peak season surcharge on Far East-Sri Lanka routes

Maersk announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of USD 800 per container on routes from Far East Asia (including China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Brunei, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea) to Sri Lanka. The surcharge takes effect 1st July 2026 for most origins and 11th July 2026 for South Korea exports, applicable to non-SPOT bookings only.
