Bulk Carrier First Margaux Collides with Chinese Fishing Vessel in Singapore Strait

The Panamanian-flagged bulk carrier First Margaux collided with the Chinese fishing vessel Lu Qing Yuan Yu 108 in the Singapore Strait on 17 September. No injuries or significant damage were reported. Both vessels departed from anchorages east of Singapore and entered the westbound traffic separation scheme. The fishing vessel continued on its own power and made berth despite damage, while the First Margaux sailed for two hours at 10 knots before turning back to anchor.
