Maersk implements new surcharge for Far East-Middle East landbridge service
Maersk announced the implementation of a new Intransit/Landbridge Haulage (IT1) surcharge effective 22nd Aug 2026 for shipments from Far East and Oceania to Dammam, Dammam Free Zone Bonded Area, and Riyadh. The surcharge covers the Sharjah (SHJ) to Khor Fakkan (KHO) trucking leg, with charges ranging from USD 1400 for 20-foot dry containers to USD 3000 for 40-foot high cube reefer containers.
