Maersk links Tangier and Casablanca with high-frequency rail service for Morocco
Maersk is implementing a rail corridor connecting Tangier and Casablanca to address congestion at Morocco's busiest port. The Port of Casablanca processed 17 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2026, with June alone reaching 3.53 million tons, representing a 32% year-on-year increase. The integrated solution combines ocean services into Tangier with dedicated rail connections to Casablanca, offering customs clearance, inland storage, and final-mile delivery.
