Maersk increases ECS rates on India-Latin America routes from July 20
Maersk announced changes to Emergency Contingency Surcharges (ECS) on routes from the Indian sub continent to West Coast Latin America (except Puerto Rico and Colombia), effective 20th July 2026. The carrier increased charges across three corridors: North West India and Pakistan, South & East India, and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Maldives. Surcharges vary by container type, ranging from 1,150 to 3,050 USD depending on the route and container category.
