Exmar Converts Simaisma LNG Carrier into Floating LNG Supply Unit
Exmar announced the reception of the Simaisma LNG carrier, with a capacity of 146,000 m³, which will be converted into a floating transshipment unit (FTU) for LNG supply. CEO Carl-Antoine Saverys highlighted that the solution reduces logistical costs and leverages Exmar's nearly 50 years of experience in the sector. The FTU will receive cargoes from commercial LNG carriers to distribute LNG as fuel to other vessels.
