Two LNG Tankers Catch Fire at Damietta Port in Egypt After Drone Strike
A fire broke out aboard the LNG tankers Energos Winter and GasLog Salem while docked at Damietta Port in Egypt on 29 July. According to trading sources, a drone struck the Marshall-Island flagged Energos Winter, with the fire later spreading to the Bermuda-flagged GasLog Salem. Emergency crews extinguished both fires with limited damage, and the Egyptian Petroleum Ministry confirmed no fatalities or injuries occurred.
