Saipem secured a new contract from GOE Petrol Sanayi for the commissioning services of the Osman Gazi Floating Production Unit (FPU), destined for the development of the Sakarya gas field in the Turkish Black Sea.
This contract adds to the support services for operational readiness and assurance awarded to Saipem in April 2026 and further strengthens the company's participation in one of the most important energy projects currently under development in Turkey.
The Sakarya field, discovered in August 2020 and developed by Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), is located approximately 170 kilometers offshore in the Black Sea, at a depth of about 2,150 meters. It represents one of the most significant natural gas discoveries in the country in recent years.
The scope of work awarded to Saipem, with an estimated duration of approximately eight months, will be executed in accordance with the highest safety and quality standards, leveraging the company's distinctive expertise in the commissioning of complex energy facilities.
