Cheniere Reaches 5,000 LNG Cargoes from Sabine Pass

Cheniere announced the production and export of its 5,000th liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from its operations on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. The LNG tanker Yari departed from Sabine Pass on August 29, bound for Asia. Since 2016, Cheniere has supplied over 340 million tons of LNG to global markets, representing more than 10% of the total global capacity.

Cheniere announced the production and export of its 5,000th liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from its operations on the Gulf Coast of Mexico.

Cheniere celebrated its 5,000th LNG cargo with the loading of the LNG tanker Yari, which departed from Sabine Pass on August 29, bound for Asia.

"Producing and exporting 5,000 LNG cargoes is an extraordinary achievement, and to do so in record time — just 10 years after our first cargo — makes it even more exceptional," stated Jack Fusco, President and CEO of Cheniere.

The executive added that "this achievement was made possible by the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our workforce, which forms the foundation of our industry-leading track record in operational excellence, safety, and customer focus."

Since producing its first LNG cargo in 2016, Cheniere has supplied over 340 million tons of LNG to markets worldwide, and the company's LNG platform has grown to represent more than 10% of the total global LNG capacity.
