Attack on Qatari Ship in Hormuz: Qatar Demands Iran Cease Maritime Threats
Qatar condemned an Iranian attack on the LNG transport vessel Al Rekayyat near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, June 6. Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari described the aggression as "an unacceptable attack" and a violation of international law. Qatar holds Iran "fully legally responsible" for the damages. Iran alleged that the vessel ignored warnings from its forces.
