Maintenance Dredging in Paranaguá Channel to Begin in 2026
Portos do Paraná initiated the 2026 maintenance dredging campaign in the Paranaguá Channel at the end of April. The operation, carried out by Van Oord's dredger Vox Amália, is expected to conclude by the end of June. This ensures a safe navigation depth with an operational draft of 13.3 meters. In 2025, 2,892 vessels accessed the Paraná ports through the over 40-kilometer channel, handling 73.5 million tons of cargo.
