Santos and Ningbo Zhoushan Study Offshore Soybean Transshipment

The Port Authority of Santos signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese port of Ningbo Zhoushan to study offshore soybean transfer at sea. This transshipment would allow capesize vessels of over 150,000 tons to receive cargo from smaller ships, reducing freight costs and increasing operational speed. Ningbo Zhoushan is the world's largest port by tonnage, with an annual movement exceeding 1.4 billion tons/year.
