EBRD and DP World secure €25 million green financing for Constanța port electrification
DP World and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed a €25 million loan agreement to support electrification of the Constanța South Container Terminal in Romania. The financing is the terminal's first dedicated green loan and forms part of a €100 million investment programme that will reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 6,000 tonnes per year. The project combines EBRD financing with €19.7 million from the EU's Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility and €7.5 million from Romania's Transport Programme 2021–2027.
