MSC Diverts Cargo from La Guaira to Puerto Cabello After Earthquakes
On June 24, 2026, earthquakes severely damaged infrastructure at La Guaira Container Terminal in Venezuela, forcing MSC to halt operations. The carrier will divert shipments to the Port of Puerto Cabello via transhipment through its feeder network to maintain service continuity. MSC's obligations under the contract of carriage shall be deemed fulfilled upon discharge at Puerto Cabello. The restart date for La Guaira operations remains undetermined.
