Cargo Transport Requests Mepco Application Amid Fuel Price Hike
Road cargo transport guilds sent a letter to the Minister of Finance, Jorge Quiroz, requesting the application of the Fuel Price Stabilization Mechanism (Mepco) to face the new increase in gasoline and diesel prices. The organizations asked for the variation to be around $30 per liter, arguing that companies have no margin to absorb new increases that threaten the industry's sustainability.
