Produce Temporarily Suspends Bonito Fishing After Reaching 90% of Annual Quota

The Ministry of Production temporarily prohibited the extraction and landing of bonito throughout the Peruvian coast after 90% of the Maximum Sustainable Yield projected for 2026 was reached. The measure, communicated by the General Directorate of Supervision, Inspection, and Sanction, seeks to guarantee the sustainability of the resource and strengthen the fight against illegal fishing.
