Multi-stakeholder Agreement in Buenaventura to Reduce Port Road Congestion
The Inter-union and Inter-business Committee of Buenaventura signed an agreement with the Colombian Ministry of Transport, ANI, Superintendence of Transport, and other stakeholders to alleviate congestion at port accesses. Franklin Ruíz Palacios, president of the committee, highlighted that Buenaventura mobilizes nearly 5,000 vehicles daily and projects an annual growth of 10% to 12% in cargo movement. An immediate roadmap was defined, including the temporary suspension of works in La Caucana during Friday and Saturday.
