Peruvian Ports Position Themselves Among the Most Efficient Globally in Container Handling
The Peruvian ports of Paita, Callao, and Chancay entered the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2025 by the World Bank and S&P Global, ranking 44th, 47th, and 73rd respectively among the 100 most efficient terminals globally. Paita is positioned as the fifth most efficient port in Latin America and the Caribbean with 69.8 points. Callao mobilized 3.07 million TEUs in 2024.
