South Korean Investigation Shows Unidentified Projectiles Struck HMM Ship
South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that two unidentified projectiles struck the HMM Namu general cargo ship on May 4 in the Persian Gulf, causing a fire that disabled the vessel. The 38,314 dwt ship was towed to Dubai and is now in Drydocks World shipyard. Investigators from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the National Fire Agency are collecting evidence from the engine room, reviewing CCTV footage, and interviewing the captain. All 24 crewmembers, including six South Koreans, were uninjured.
