The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that total landings of the main fisheries reached 584,928 tons between January-July 2026, representing a 16% increase compared to the 506,144 tons recorded during the same period of 2025.
According to data from the Directorate of Fisheries Planning (DPP), under the Undersecretariat of Aquatic Resources and Fisheries, the accumulated volume in 2026 was also above the records for 2023 and 2024, when 481,175 and 533,739 tons were accounted for, respectively.
Among the main species landed between January and July 2026, shrimp stands out, registering 144,137 tons, 121% more than in 2025, while Hubbsi hake N41 ZEEA reached 13,078 tons (+37% compared to the same period).
Increases were also observed in landings of Hubbsi hake S41 (+13%) and pollock, with 7,872 tons (+10%). Meanwhile, anchovy registered 4,548 tons, compared to the 91 tons accounted for in 2025.
In the group of other species, landings totaled 28,788 tons. Within this group, black hake reached 2,811 tons (+11%) and king crab 1,053 tons (+1%), while scallop registered 2,807 tons (-21%).
The information corresponds to data from the General Fisheries System and allows observing the evolution of the main fishery resources and their participation in the total volume of landings.
