The National Service of Agrifood Health and Quality (SENASA) verified compliance with documentary and sanitary requirements in the first import operation of a food cargo arriving at the “Islas Malvinas” International Airport in Rosario (Santa Fe).
The SENASA Santa Fe Regional Center Office at the Rosario air station inspected, in the airport's customs warehouse, the entry of a shipment of bacon from Brazil, destined for the Swift slaughterhouse.
This first control procedure carried out by SENASA personnel at this airport terminal involved the issuance of Disembarkation and Restricted Transit Permits (PTR), necessary documentation that authorizes the entry of merchandise into the country and its subsequent transfer under official control.
The intervention allowed the operation to be carried out in accordance with the established sanitary requirements, guaranteeing the traceability and control of the merchandise from its arrival in the country.
This first import represents a significant advance in the development of international cargo operations at the “Islas Malvinas” International Airport in Rosario, expanding the possibilities of the terminal and the services that SENASA provides to importing and exporting companies in the region.
In this way, SENASA continues to strengthen its presence at the airport and support the growth of international operations, guaranteeing compliance with the sanitary conditions required for the entry and exit of agri-food products.
