With the arrival of the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Domitille, Contecon Manzanillo Terminal inaugurated the Sierra Service, a connection that strengthens trade between Asia and Mexico.
According to the terminal's website, "This new service expands logistics opportunities for our clients and reaffirms Manzanillo's role as one of the most important ports in the country."
This demonstrates the confidence that Contecon Manzanillo, operated by the Philippine company International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), has placed in Mexico's most important commercial port, which operates under the direction of the National Port System Administration Manzanillo, a dependency of the Ministry of the Navy.
The Sierra Service is a direct maritime route operated by the shipping company MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) that connects the Port of Manzanillo with Asia. Its main objective is to strengthen international trade through a port rotation that includes calls in Qingdao, Tianjin, Busan, Manzanillo, and Lázaro Cárdenas.
This connection reduces transit times and improves port logistics for the import and export of containers, strengthening the competitiveness of the Port of Manzanillo as one of the main gateways.
The Port of Manzanillo permanently guarantees agile, secure, and efficient conditions in the administration and operation processes of the port facility, thus enabling companies like Contecon Manzanillo to reaffirm their confidence in the national port system day by day and continue to drive Mexico's economic and logistical development.
