Law 32706 Boosts Cabotage and Naval Construction in Peru

Peru published Law No. 32706 on July 4, 2026, to modernize its commercial fleet and boost the naval industry. The regulation establishes a five-year reinvestment regime with a deduction of up to 100% for the purchase of new nationally built vessels. National flag companies have 24 months to adapt their vessels to new maintenance conditions, while the Executive Branch has 180 days to publish the official regulations.
