The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that the Bank of Investment and Foreign Trade (BICE) has already granted over $67 billion in Product Value credits to 440 producers across the country since the line's launch two years ago.
This financing tool is available for the livestock, dairy, and pork sectors, activities that have boosted their production and export levels over the past two years, consolidating their contribution to the growth of the Argentine economy.
It is worth noting that 42% of the total loans granted were allocated to livestock, 35% to dairy farms, and 23% to pork. In terms of territorial distribution: Córdoba, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, and Buenos Aires concentrated the largest number of grants. Another relevant fact is that the loans granted show no arrears, indicating the quality of the portfolio and the producers' repayment capacity.
In the dairy sector, where the line was first enabled, the financed projects were primarily aimed at technification for milking robots, carousels, monitoring collars, and sorting gates. Driven by this type of financing, the number of automated milkers increased from 370 in 2023 to more than 550 currently. Technification and climate contributed to achieving the highest milk production in the last 10 years, reaching over 11.6 billion liters between January and December 2025.
On the other hand, in the pork sector, credits were aimed at improving shed infrastructure and modernizing facilities, thus accompanying the growth of a productive activity that registered a year-on-year increase of 15.7% in its production during the first quarter of 2026.
As for livestock producers, financing was used for the purchase of heifers, retention of calves, and feeding. This data coincides with the record beef export of 46% in value (USD 1.765 billion) and 11% in volume (332,207 tons equivalent carcass with bone) in the first 5 months of the year.
In this direction, within the framework of the Rural Exhibition, an expansion of this line was announced, aimed at incorporating high genetics, with the objective of accompanying the necessary quality leap to boost sales to external markets. Product Value credit financing remains in effect, and the possibility of incorporating new agro-industry sectors into the offer is being analyzed.
