The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) opens the registration period for citrus establishments for the 2026–2027 campaign from October 19 to November 13, 2026. This is intended for producers who wish to export fresh fruit to markets included in the Export Certification Program with Traceability.
In this campaign, registration includes the use of the new version of the Citrus Traceability IT System (SITC), a tool through which producers who meet the established conditions will be able to manage the process themselves.
The procedure will depend on each establishment's history within the Program:
Producers registered in the 2025–2026 campaign: They can register themselves through the new version of the SITC.
Producers who were registered in previous campaigns but not in the 2025–2026 campaign: They must contact the corresponding operational office to request authorization for self-managed registration through the SITC.
First-time registration: New producers and those not registered since the 2024–2025 campaign must complete the process in person at the SENASA operational office or the Program office corresponding to their jurisdiction, presenting the forms (link forms) and the relevant documentation.
When registering, each producer must select the destinations to which they plan to export during the campaign, taking into account the products included in the Program:
-European Union: orange, mandarin, grapefruit, and lemon.
-Chile: orange and lemon.
-Colombia: orange, mandarin, and lemon.
-South Korea: orange.
-Costa Rica, Ecuador, Philippines, Panama, Peru, -People's Republic of China: orange, mandarin, grapefruit, and lemon.
-United States: lemon produced in the Argentine Northwest (NOA).
-Mexico: orange and lemon.
-Vietnam: grapefruit and lemon.
In the case of Mexico, the phytosanitary requirements for the export of fresh oranges are close to being agreed upon. For this reason, interested producers are advised to select this destination when registering.
Phytosanitary requirements may vary depending on the destination and product. Therefore, it is recommended to consult the corresponding requirements before completing the process.
For more information on the registration process, producers can visit the citrus section, contact cnc@senasa.gob.ar, or go to SENASA offices.
It is reminded that registration must be completed within the indicated period, and that completing the process in a timely manner is essential to participate in the Program during the 2026–2027 export campaign.
