The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) and representatives from the public and private poultry sector in the province of Entre Ríos unified inspection criteria to strengthen the implementation of measures that prevent the entry of diseases into production establishments, their internal dissemination, and their propagation to other premises.
The meeting room of the Concepción del Uruguay Experimental Station of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) was the setting where members of the SENASA National Avian Health Program, agents from various local offices of the Organization, INTA specialists, accredited veterinarians, and representatives of companies dedicated to poultry meat and egg production thoroughly analyzed the status of the provincial registry and the deployment of sanitary controls.

Currently, Entre Ríos has 2,353 poultry registrations authorized by SENASA distributed in 16 departments, with a strong concentration of activity in Concepción del Uruguay, Paraná, and Colón, which together account for 64% of the registered establishments.
At the meeting, SENASA reported that, so far in 2026, it has carried out 1,347 inspections on poultry farms in the Province, of which 81% were concentrated in establishments dedicated to poultry meat production.
During these actions, aspects related to biosecurity conditions and the operation of facilities were surveyed, including opportunities for improvement in the maintenance of bird-proof netting, composters, and disinfection systems, with the aim of promoting corrective measures and strengthening the sanitary conditions of the establishments.
