The activity was attended by the National Naval Prefect, Prefecto General Guillermo Giménez Pérez; the National Naval Sub-Prefect, Prefecto General Alejandro Annichini; the General Chief Petty Officer, Ayudante Mayor Roberto Ortiz, and part of the Institution's General Staff, as well as authorities, Force personnel, and guests.

The conference, titled "Dr. Mariano Moreno and the Post Mortem Prefecto Gral. Martín J. Thompson, Argentine heroes and their link with the Argentine Naval Prefecture, an institution born with the Homeland," was given by historian and journalist Daniel Balmaceda.

During the talk, the career of Martín Jacobo Thompson and his link with the foundational events of the Nation were highlighted, as well as his role as the first National Naval Prefect and his contribution to the origins of the Argentine Naval Prefecture.
