Personnel from the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) located a citizen in Mar del Plata whose whereabouts had been unknown for almost two months.
The procedure began when officers from the Guard and Patrol section, who were performing duties at the Institution's headquarters in the city's port area, noticed the presence of an adult person who showed signs of being in an apparent state of disorientation.
Given this situation, Mar del Plata Coast Guard personnel interviewed her, and she stated that she could not remember where she was from. However, during the conversation, she managed to recall her name, a piece of information that proved key to proceeding with identification.
Based on this information, the officers contacted Family Court No. 5 of the city, which confirmed that it was a 75-year-old woman for whom a missing person inquiry had been active since July 10.
Likewise, the intervening court ordered communication with the Health and Hospitalization Support Group of Mar del Plata, with the aim of providing the corresponding assistance and coordinating her transfer to the Interzonal General Acute Hospital (HIGA).
Finally, an ambulance transferred the citizen to the aforementioned health center, where she was referred to the Mental Health area to receive appropriate care.
