The Argentine Naval Prefecture assisted a kayaker who requested help after being unable to return to the coast of Miramar due to a broken paddle.
The incident was reported by the man himself via a call to the Nautical Emergencies line (106), in which he stated that he was about 300 meters from the coast and could not propel his vessel.
Given this situation, and with the monitoring of the Maritime Traffic Management Center of the Prefectura Mar del Plata, institutional personnel quickly headed to the location aboard a jet ski.
Upon arrival, rescuers found the kayaker, who was exhausted on the vessel, and assisted him in safely accompanying him to the shore.
Once ashore, the 33-year-old Argentine man was transferred to the Prefectura outpost in Miramar, where he stated he was in good health and did not require medical assistance. Finally, he left on his own and thanked the intervention of the National Maritime Authority personnel.
