The Argentine Naval Prefecture has incorporated the virtual management of requests for ordinary or extraordinary technical safety inspections, handled by the Technical Inspections Division, into the Remote Procedures Platform (TAD).
With this implementation, interested parties will be able to initiate the procedure remotely, without the need to physically attend an institution's office, and track the progress of their application through the platform.
The process covers technical inspections of national flag vessels and naval artifacts, both those located in the country and abroad, as well as foreign flag vessels navigating in national jurisdictional waters.
Through the system, inspections can be requested for the specialties of Machinery, Electricity, Radio, Equipment, and Hull.
The incorporation of this procedure into TAD allows for the reduction of operational and logistical times and costs, in addition to providing greater traceability to the process through electronic tracking of each file and facilitating interaction with other government agencies.
Once the request is submitted, the Technical Inspections Division will verify the documentation and information provided. When the established requirements are met, the corresponding inspection fee settlements will be issued and notified through the same file. Once payment is credited and proof is attached, the process will continue for the appointment of the inspector or the corresponding inspection committee.
The procedure is included in Title 2 of the Maritime, Fluvial, and Lacustrine Navigation Regime (REGINAVE), ratified by Decree No. 37/2025, and its incorporation into the digital system is carried out in compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Security and the Secretariat of Modernization.
