This international training instance brought together representatives from maritime authorities of 24 countries, including nations from America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, fostering a valuable exchange of experiences and global perspectives.
The academic program, designed for port captains, port chiefs, and mid-level managers of maritime administrations, addressed critical thematic areas for modern management, such as:
● Strategic port planning.
● Regulatory frameworks for port security and protection.
● Emergency planning, preparedness, and response to maritime incidents.
● Advances in digitalization and decarbonization strategies in the maritime sector.
As a fundamental part of the agenda, on August 25, the course attendees participated in the 17th Cooperation Forum (CF), a strategic pillar of the Cooperation Mechanism on Safety of Navigation and Environmental Protection in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS).
This event, which included the presence of international delegates and representatives from the International Maritime Organization (IMO), allowed for a fluid dialogue among riparian states, users, and industry, promoting collaboration on matters of common interest.
Participation in this program not only allowed for updating knowledge on the current challenges of the sector but also represented a remarkable opportunity to strengthen international cooperation ties and to make known the institutional work of the Argentine Naval Prefecture in the global sphere.
