The Governor of the Province of Corrientes, Juan Pablo Valdés, reported that the port of the Argentine province received a total of 47 containers with machinery and equipment for Cambium Build.
The latter corresponds to Argentina's first cross-laminated timber (CLT) industrial plant, which is being installed in the city of Virasoro.
"This Industry Day will be a historic day for Corrientes: 47 containers with machinery and equipment for Cambium Build, Argentina's first CLT industrial plant, which is being installed in Virasoro, arrived at the capital's port," Governor Valdés announced.
"We announced it in June and today it is a reality. The company will invest more than 20 million dollars in this project to generate from here, with our wood, state-of-the-art technology and Corrientes labor, cutting-edge construction material for homes and buildings," he added.
"Employment and opportunities must come from the private sector. For this reason, from the Government of Corrientes, we create the conditions for them to choose us. We will work to ensure that this is the first of many shipments that arrive to boost the Corrientes industry," Valdés complemented.
