The Port of Quequén (Argentina) continues to carry out underpinning and structural reinforcement works on the coastal wall of Berth 2 of the enclosure. The works aim to counteract the effects of water erosion and ensure the predictability of long-term maneuvers.
Through a press release, the maritime facility reported that "progress is being made in the execution of the coastal wall underpinning work at Berth 2 on the Quequén bank. This comprehensive intervention is designed to restore the structural conditions of the coastal defense and neutralize the natural wear and tear caused by marine dynamics."
In this regard, the Operations Manager of the Puerto Quequén Management Consortium, Gustavo Gavilán, assured that it is "a key work to restore the original stability conditions of the coastal defense and protect the docks from future erosive processes."
"By consolidating the solidity of Berth 2, Puerto Quequén guarantees a safe working environment for operators, stevedores, and crews, preventing contingencies and maintaining the standard of predictability that characterizes the maritime station," Gavilán concluded.
