PortCastelló has put out to tender the inspection and maintenance service for the 13 wind socks at the Port of Castellón, with a budget of 17,422.79 euros, as part of a plan to maximize the safety of its port operations.
Scope of the contract
The contract covers periodic inspections, cleaning tasks, and the repair and replacement of damaged components, with the aim of ensuring the proper functioning of these devices, which are essential for indicating wind direction and strength. The work will also include inspection of the poles, swivel systems and anchoring mechanisms, as well as updating the inventory of these elements to facilitate their tracking and maintenance.
Frequency of inspections
The service calls for monthly visual inspections and thorough technical reviews every three months, in order to detect potential issues early and keep the facilities in optimal operating condition.
Purpose of the measure
With this initiative, PortCastelló strengthens the preventive maintenance of its facilities, supports the early detection of possible faults, and helps ensure the good condition of the port's meteorological signaling equipment.
