Maersk Suspends Bonn Terminal Operations Amid Low Rhine Water Levels

Maersk announced the suspension of barge operations at Bonn Inland Terminal effective immediately due to low water conditions on the Rhine River. Containers previously planned to move via Bonn will be discharged and loaded at alternative locations, including Emmerich, requiring onward transportation. A temporary contingency surcharge of EUR 175 per container applies to both export and import cargo until regular operations can be restored.
