First Qatar LNG Shipment Moves Through Hormuz Since War Started
The Al Kharaitiyat, owned by Qatar's Nakilat and loaded at the Ras Laffan export plant, has transited the Strait of Hormuz and reached the Gulf of Oman, marking Qatar's first LNG export since the Iran war began in late February. The vessel navigated the Tehran-approved northern route and lists Pakistan as its next destination. The move signals potential resumption of LNG flows, though current levels remain far below prewar rates of roughly three shipments daily from the Persian Gulf.
