Eidfjord implements one-ship daily limit and shore power expansion plan
Eidfjord Municipal Council formally adopted Visit Eidfjord's Sustainability Policy and Strategic Plan 2026–2030, establishing a one cruise ship per day policy with a maximum of 4,500 cruise passengers daily. The strategy targets at least 50% of cruise calls connected to shore power by 2027, with ambitions to reach 100% by 2030. Shore power will be available at the newly extended pier by April 2027, supporting the 2026 season's 90 total calls.
