MV Tirranna Receives Oceanbird Wing 560 Sail
Oceanbird has installed its first 40-meter wing sail system on the MV Tirranna, a 237-meter long, 71,000 DWT car carrier belonging to Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines. The tiltable rigid Wing 560 sail, developed by the joint venture of Alfa Laval and Wallenius Marine, is 46 meters high and weighs 200 tons. The system will undergo testing in the coming months.
