Maersk Project Logistics transports heavy-lift transformers from Korea to the US
Maersk established a strategic partnership with a leading Korean energy solutions company in April 2026 to manage the transportation of multi-hundred-ton transformers from Korea to the United States. The integrated project logistics solution includes cargo collection from the manufacturing site, export heavy-lift handling in Busan, breakbulk transportation via container vessel to Houston, and barge connection at destination. With support from the Gemini network and fixed weekly services, Maersk delivered schedule reliability and operational flexibility for the customer's project execution.
