Maersk implements intermodal fuel surcharge in DACH region
A. P. Moller – Maersk announced temporary fuel surcharges on intermodal transportation in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, effective from 17th August till 31st August. The surcharge applies at 10% for truck and barge services, and 5% for RCO, reflecting unprecedented cost pressures from global energy price volatility and Middle East security developments affecting fuel availability through the Strait of Hormuz.
