Brazil: Infrastructure Investments Increase Bulk Cargo Handling Capacity at the Port of Salvador
The Federal Port Authority of Bahia (Codeba) has invested in the modernization of the Port of Salvador, achieving a historic milestone in May 2026 by exceeding 200,000 tons of imported bulk cargo unloaded. Key interventions include the recovery of the public pier with R$ 14.7 million, expansion to 14 meters depth, construction of Gate 4 with R$ 1.6 million, and a decarbonization and pier electrification project.
