The Port of Barcelona presents the Nexigen electrification project to Red Eléctrica Española
The Port of Barcelona and Red Eléctrica Española held a technical conference with more than 50 REE professionals to present the Nexigen dock electrification project. The initiative, with an investment of more than 200 million euros, will allow clean energy to be supplied to ships, enabling them to stop their auxiliary engines while moored, consolidating Barcelona as a leader in port electrification in the Mediterranean and European spheres.
