Port of San Diego Introduces Live Vessel Schedule
The Port of San Diego launched PortControl, a real-time online schedule for cargo and cruise ships that displays arrival and departure times, current vessel locations, and cruise ship schedules. According to a press release, the tool promotes safety, transparency, and awareness of daily maritime activity while preventing conflicts with local marine events. As California's fourth largest port, the tool provides insight into the region's role in tourism, global trade, and the movement of goods and people worldwide.
