Fincantieri begins construction of Carnival's new Ace-Class Destiny cruise ship
Carnival Cruise Line and Fincantieri held a steel-cutting ceremony on July 10 in Monfalcone for the new Ace-Class ship Carnival Destiny, which will join the fleet starting in 2029. The ship will feature more than 4.5 acres of glass, the most ocean-view balconies at sea, and more than 70 percent new concepts across dining, beverage and entertainment. Three Ace-Class ships are scheduled for 2029, 2031 and 2033.
