HX Expeditions launches Artist in Residence programme with Arctic voyage debut

HX Expeditions has launched its first Artist in Residence programme, appointing acclaimed novelist Katie Hale for 2026. Hale, whose novel The Edge of Solitude was inspired by an HX expedition to Antarctica in 2020, will join selected voyages offering lectures, workshops and discussions. Her inaugural voyage will be HX's 21-day Arctic Canada and Greenland Expedition – Circumnavigating Baffin Bay, scheduled for September, featuring complimentary creative workshops and readings.
