Jonathan Daniels appointed PortMiami director amid fuel depot crisis

Jonathan Daniels, a nationally recognized port executive with over three decades of experience, was appointed PortMiami director and CEO. He joins the port in August, succeeding Hydi Webb, as Miami-Dade County pursues eminent domain to secure the threatened fuel depot on Fisher Island. Daniels previously led the Port of Baltimore's recovery following the 2024 Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse and served as CEO at Port Everglades.
