CIMC Raffles Delivers 100 kW Offshore Solar Platform with Bamboo Structure
CIMC Raffles has completed the delivery of Jilin No. 2, the world's first 100 kW bamboo-based offshore floating photovoltaic platform. Jointly developed by CIMC Ocean Engineering Institute, China Forestry Group Corporation, and Beijing Forestry University, it will be deployed at CIMC's offshore solar demonstration base in Yantai, Shandong, supplying clean energy for a hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol demonstration project. The bamboo-based design significantly reduces the marine environmental impact compared to conventional steel or HDPE structures.
