Iran to Halt Message Exchanges With US Over Israel, Tasnim Says

Iran announced it would suspend talks and document exchanges with the US in protest of Israel's expanded military operations in Lebanon, escalating tensions amid ceasefire negotiations. The announcement caused Brent crude to surge to around $97 a barrel. Tehran insists any agreement must cover all regional fighting, including Lebanon, and has placed the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al Mandeb Strait on its agenda.
