Maersk implements 12.5% fuel surcharge in Cyprus effective September 7th
Maersk announced an exceptional fuel surcharge adjustment for Cyprus effective 7th September 2026, setting truck rates at 12.5% due to increased Middle East fuel costs. The surcharge will be reviewed weekly instead of monthly, with updates every Friday. Surcharge codes will appear on invoices as "EFS" (Export Fuel Surcharge) and "IFS" (Import Fuel Surcharge), remaining in place as long as necessary to cover increased operational costs.
