Intermodal Fuel Fee update in (New Zealand)
Maersk announced an Intermodal Fuel Fee (EFS/IFS) effective from 16 March 2026 to address rising global energy prices driven by Middle East security concerns and reduced fuel availability through the Strait of Hormuz. Starting 1st of June 2026, New Zealand will see a +25% adjustment on Landside Transportation. The carrier will review rates monthly as market conditions evolve.
